Excerpt from 'Forever'
Our wedding was far from perfect. For starters the cake was late being delivered from the bakers, and my older sister, Charlotte, had flown into one hell of a frenzy. Apparently there was an issue with the sandwiches too, but catering really wasn't my thing, so I stayed well clear of it all. Out of the way. My shoes weren't broken in though; for fear of getting them dirty, and this was a problem I could concern myself with. It wouldn't do for the bride to have dirty or scuffed shoes, so instead I did my best to get up the aisle without hobbling too much.
